Mercedes-Benz CLS-class Specifications & Features
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has the presence of an enticing work of art that is prominently displayed in a gallery when it is parked. Its carefully chosen arrangement of curves and corners invites the gaze to linger on its graceful form and take in its lovely workmanship. However, once you’re behind the wheel, you’ll discover that the stylish four-door sedan is more than just a pretty face. The luxurious interior of the cabin welcomes passengers with high-quality materials, precise fit and finish, and a sparkling dashboard display. This Mercedes’ underpinnings are all E-class sedans, and the components are calibrated for soft ride comfort rather than aggressive curve-eating. The typical, electrically-improved inline-six cylinder is the embodiment of velvet.
What’s New?
The CLS undergoes a minor update for the 2022 model year before largely remaining unaltered for 2023. The exterior color palette has been changed just because non-Manufacturer metallic paint options are now included in the base price. The CLS-class’s cabin design echoes the smooth planes and sloping lines of the exterior. A quartet of circular air vents dominates the center stack, and the dash gracefully swirls around the front-seat occupants. The Nappa leather upholstery contributes to the cabin’s overall luxury and obviously glitzy appearance.
Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Engine, Power, Acceleration & Performance
The 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine in the CLS450 is combined with an EQ Boost 48-volt hybrid powertrain. The engine produces 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque and runs more smoothly than a Haagen-Dasz. This engine completes the sprint from 50 to 70 mph in 3.8 ticks and accelerates the CLS450 to 60 mph in a snappy 4.6 seconds. Both times are quite close to those of the 335-hp Audi A7. The Benz shifts gears with a well-behaved nine-speed automatic gearbox. There are five standard driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, and Individual, allowing you to adjust the car’s performance to your tastes. The CLS450 provides a quiet, smooth driving experience that is never frantic.

Pricing
2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Trims | Price (USD) |
CLS450 4Matic | $77,450 |
Mercedes-Benz reduced the CLS class to only one vehicle in 2022: the CLS450 4Matic. AMG exterior detailing, which was previously an extra fee, leather upholstery, wood trim, and 19-inch wheels are all included as standard features. Even though the CLS450 has a tonne of goodies in its base configuration, we might consider spending extra money on the Night Package and Premium Package. The former has a flat-bottom steering wheel and black external accents as opposed to chrome. The latter comes with six months of Sirius XM, a Burmester Surround Sound system, a 360-degree camera, and the automaker’s active park-assist technology. Checking the box for the optional air suspension system will provide more suppleness to the ride.
