The Exciting Part
The limiting number ‘306’ is the total distance in kilometers of the 2022 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. At the recent digital launch event, Aston Martin’s F1 Team Principal Mike Krack said that between his team and the designers at G-P “We always strive to find lighter and stronger solutions.” To which, this Laureato incorporates some impressive innovations. The watch from GP consists of very first from the brand: a new composite material for the case, as well as one for the strap.

The watchmaking of this 44-millimeter case was a process from GP, which uses blends of titanium powder and pieces of carbon fiber. The materials used were from two Formula 1 car from the 2021 season. The material is mixed with a tinted resin to create a green hue. If watched closely, the case looks similar to forged carbon and subtle green touches which matches the watch’s “Racing Green” dial and Aston Martin F1 car. Also, the construction of the strap is new for Girard-Perregaux. Synthetic rubber and F1-car sourced carbon elements, and the resulting material is GP Rubber Alloy.

Laureato Aston Martin F1 Edition uses Girard-Perregaux’s GP03300-1058 movement with 63 jewels which runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and have a 46-hour power reserve. If you want to add this charming green chronograph to your collection, you’ll have to pay up $27,800.
