She kind of had an upper hand on the market as there were no makers in the market who were using there self-made product as there were generally men looking over the textile community. Firstly in 2012 she achieved the status of a billionaire. Blakely has invested in many other fields on of them being Atlanta Hawks. However After losing her Billionaire status multiple times she now is stable in the list after selling her major stakes of the company to the BlackStone Group in 2021.
