Overview
The 2022 Ford Escape is offered with broad range powertrain options and standard driver assistance features. But entry level variants come with very basic features and unrefined engine. Nevertheless variants with hybrid powertrain charged hefty price tags. This compact SUV has almost sedan like ride quality and handling unlike Ford Bronco. It offered with two engine options such as turbo-three and turbo-four. It competes against Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson.

Ford Escape doesn’t make any significant changes to their lineup for 2022. But new paints are available which are Atlas Blue, Flight Blue and Iced Blue.

The features offered are rear parking sensors, memory settings for driver’s seat and ORVM, leather-wrapped steering wheel with heating option, faux leather upholstery, remote start feature, power tailgate, roof rails, fog lamps, 8.0-inch touchscreen with Sync 3 software which Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, B&O audio system with 10-speakers, in-built navigation, 12.3-inch digital gauge display and heads-up display.
It scored 5-start safety rating according NHTSA. It comes with forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert as a standard.

Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The 2022 Ford Escape comes with wide range of powertrain options, starting with 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine making 181 HP with either front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrain. But this engine is little bit unrefined and can does 0 to 60 MPH in 7.7 seconds. Now heading towards the more powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 250 HP and sprints 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds. Both engines are connected to 8-speed automatic transmission. Ford also offers two Escape hybrids – in which one is plug-in. This powertrain consists of 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors combine to make 221 HP. The plug-in hybrid model offered with 14.4-kWh battery pack which drives 37 miles in only electric mode.
