Ford already launched the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning earlier this year. This vehicle was very similar to the regular F-150 except for the powerful V6 and V8 engines of the vehicle are replaced with pair of electric motors and two different battery packs. This vehicle also has an all-wheel drive system with two motors fitted at each axle. These motors provide a power output of 452 horsepower for the base trims and 580hp for the extended battery trims. The peak torque is quite remarkable with 775 pound-feet and it is the same for both. The top trim of this vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and can cover a quarter-mile distance in 12.7 seconds with a speed of 107 mph. Ford revealed the new all-electric F-150 Lightning Pro Special Service Vehicle saying that this vehicle will help the Police to reduce their expenditure and improve their efficiency of work. And this vehicle will have the same configurations as the previously launched all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning. The power output will remain the same as 452 hp for the standard battery trim while the extended battery trim gets the 580hp. It also claimed to have acceleration from 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds. The range is expected to be 230 miles for the standard battery trims and 320 miles for the extended battery trims.
The vehicle will have a 12.0-inch display in the center of the dash just like the normal F-150. It will have police-grade heavy-duty cloth seats and equips lower bolsters that will allow officers to enter and exit easily. There is no information about the launch of these vehicles or their price.
