Overview
The Chevy Corvette has always been trying to match the game with the top dogs like the Lamborghini and Ferrari but hasn’t been able to do it. The upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 night change that, and get this beast’s entry to the exotic club restricted to only high-end supercars. The mid-engined Z06 is not like other cars, it’s just one hell of a machine thanks to the improved naturally aspirated V8 engine. Apart from the engine, the 2023 Corvette comes on with improved driving dynamics while taking most features from the previous generation Stingrays as usual. It’s a supercar that normal people can easily afford to buy which drives like a racetrack car but can be handled like an everyday purpose car.
What’s New For 2023?
This will be the first mid-engined Corvette ever which will begin production in the latter half of 2022. The Z06 is the more track-oriented model of the standard model. The new Z06 model will be more driver-focused and will be more hardcore in terms of overall performance.
Engine, 0-60 MPH, Top Speed & Performance
With this 2023 Corvette, Chevrolet is all set to compete with the top-tier supercars and set a new bar for performance specced cars. The new Corvette Z06 features a new flat-plane crankshaft that can rev up to 8600 rpm with the 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine fitted behind the driver’s seats. It results in a behemoth 670 horses and thrilling exhaust notes that can rival a sound Ferraris make. The new Z06 comes fitted with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (sorry stick lovers) and rear-wheel drive, it can certainly make you lose your mind. The 2023 Z06 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in an estimated 2.6 seconds and will have an estimated top speed of more than 200 mph.
Being a more hardcore and driver-focused model, the Z06 comes with wide and more track-friendly tires with powerful braking for the best amount of fun. The company has also managed to add an optional Z07 performance package which will unlock the full potential of the Corvette (hurrah gearheads!). The Z07 package comes with reduced weight, new brakes and 21-inch tires, more aerodynamic add-ons, and carbon-fiber rollers. It results in a monstrous performance that will knock out your ability to think how the world is moving so slowly while you are at seventh skies.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the upcoming corvette are still unknown and not revealed by the company. We will update you when the official specs of the car come out.
Pricing
The pricing of the new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 hasn’t been officially revealed yet. But if we recall the 2022 Z06 model which started at around $62,000 we can expect the 2023 Corvette Z06 model should come with a starting price of around $90,000.
