Hyundai India Finally Confirm The Launch Of Ioniq 5 EV

Finally one of the finest and premium electric crossover Hyundai Ioniq 5 is coming to India. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) for India. And the premium compact crossover Ioniq 5 will be the first pure Hyundai Electric Vehicle to be launch in the domestic market based on E-GMP architecture. This beautiful compact electric crossover will surly lead the auto market in India. Unsoo Kim (MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited) said:

With the launch of Hyundai Kona EV back in 2019 the Hyundai’s electric mobility campaign began. The second largest auto brand in India will pioneer the development of future EVs with this dedicated BEV platform that is now starting in India with the first premium electric vehicle Ioniq 5. The all new modular structure comprises vehicle chassis that includes motor, battery and whole electric system. The battery system features an advanced battery pack which will offer high driving range, while the bi-directional plug allows the high voltage battery to power other electronic appliances you’re using. The latest E-GMP platform also feature an ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) which will charge both auxiliary and high-voltage battery.
