The Mahindra XUV700 Electric, rumored to launch soon, has been spotted undergoing testing once again. Spy images reveal its electric variant, which is part of Mahindra’s XUV.e and BE sub-brands. The XUV700 Electric, set to arrive by December 2024, will feature the INGLO skateboard architecture. The XUV700 Electric showcases a new design language, following the upcoming range of zero-emission SUVs. The test mule retains the body of the existing XUV700, some minor changes can be seen in the front fascia.
XUV700 Electric Features
The spied XUV700 Electric showcases camouflaged design elements resembling the regular XUV700, including the grille and bumper. Its copper exterior color resembles the XUV400. The electric variant retains most design elements from its ICE counterpart, but we anticipate revised LED headlamps, unique LED DRLs, redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels, and minor exterior tweaks in the production-ready version.
Mahindra XUV700 Electric Battery and Range
The upcoming XUV700 Electric, based on the INGLO platform co-developed with Volkswagen, will have larger dimensions than its ICE counterpart. It will feature a 60-80kWh battery pack and support 175kW fast charging, providing a WLTP claimed range of 400-450km.
Pricing
In a major move, Mahindra has committed Rs 10,000 crore to develop electric vehicles. With a lineup of electric models showcased, the eagerly anticipated XUV700 Electric is set to debut in 2024, priced around Rs 30-35 lakh.
