Juan Luis Londoño Arias (born 28 January 1994), professionally known as Maluma, is a Colombian singer and songwriter, who had passion for music at a very early age and just like the young teens he began recording songs at the age of 16. He released his debut album, Magia in 2012. But his breakthrough came in the year after his album Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy. Which enabled him to collaborate with many popular artists in the industry like Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, The Weeknd, Rick Martin and Natti Natasha.
His 2020 single “Hawái” (which out of a huge success led him to the collaboration with The Weeknd in 2021) which reached no. 3 on the Billboard Global 200, and became the first no. 1 single on the Billboard Global Excluding the U.S. With the total sales of more than 18 million records (albums and singles), Maluma became one of the best-selling Latin music artists and Musically, His songs have been described as reggaeton, Latin trap, and pop.
