However, Aston has significantly increased the amount of power available, mostly by enlarging the turbos, altering the compression ratios, and revamping the cooling system. Peak power for the new and enhanced V-8 is 671 Horsepower at 6000 rpm and peak torque is 590 lb-ft between 2750 and 6000 rpm. These numbers are not only much greater than the previous V-8’s 528 horses and 513 pound-feet but also higher than the previous V-12’s 630 Horsepower and 516 pound-feet. The upgraded 4.0-liter continues to drive the rear axle through an 8-speed Auto gearbox with a smaller final-drive ratio.
