The all-new Lotus Type-133 will come with 600+ HP power to rival with the Porsche Taycan.
Overview
Most of us were under the impression that Lotus would shift instantaneously from unveiling its SUV and now its electric sedan. But, Lotus is gearing up to launch its electric sedan, the “Type-133” globally. Many of us thought that the company would be selling the Evora/Elise forever. But after Geely bought the company, everything changed.
After 2022 unveil of the Lotus Eletre SUV. Lotus is set to unveil the “Type–133” electric sedan to the market. The china-built sedan is due for its 2023 launch. It will be rivaling the Porsche Taycan. The Type-133 will be very much distinctively different from the Eletre SUV.
The designs of Type-133 are finalising state. We suspect that the Lotus EV sedan will be similar to the Eletre with a low-ground profile. “Every member of a family can have their own character.” That said, the company needs to have a cohesive design, hence why “there has to be some continuity and family identity” since “families aren’t made up entirely of triplets or quadruplets.” Clarified by senior VP of design, Peter Horbury.
Specs:- Powertrain, Performance, 0-60 MPH & Top-Speed
The new EV sedan will feature an aero-driven exterior design. It will be flourished with advanced technology that will be modern and fancy. It will feature a minimalist cabin inside, similar to Teslas. According to some speculations, the Type-133 sedan will come with a dual motor design that will make more than 592 horsepower. It could go from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds and could have a top speed of 155 mph. As it will compete with the Porsche Taycan GTS, the above specs could be close to the actual production car.
As the rumours and speculations go on, we are still waiting for the official specs from the company. We’ll update you when we do. Stay tuned!
