Porsche Panamera EV To Come Sooner Than You Think

A recent spy shot of the upcoming Porsche Panamera shows major updates to the brand’s longest vehicle. We hope the car’s future have something more exciting than just the class for the Panamera. According to Autocar, the upcoming Panamera EV is in the works with a new Scalable System Platform (SSP). The new platform will exhibit the brand’s upcoming 7-seater electric SUV as it is a dedicated EV platform where the 2nd-gen Taycan will also be made.

More Info:

We believe the new Panamera EV will stand above the Taycan thanks to its long body and extended wheelbase. The British Magazine also claims the car will consist of a similar wheelbase as the current Panamera LWB. The rumored dimensions of the car will be about 204.7 inches in length and 122 inches in wheelbase between the axles. Built on the new bespoke platform means the upcoming Porsche will boast a larger cabin space compared to its ICE counterpart. The Panamera EV is allegedly in development and will launch after the SUV which is scheduled for 2027 year.

Rumoured Specs:

Autocar claimed the new Porsche will offer a more advanced 800V battery architecture with more energy density and driving range. It will pack two or three electric motors producing over 769 horsepower. The Panamera EV will offer acceleration of under 2.5 seconds and a top speed of over 162 mph. While there is a possibility of an electric powertrain, Porsche has no plans to kill the combustion engine variant completely until the end of this decade. The same goes for the Porsche Macan and Cayenne which will shift to all-electric after 2025. We can certainly hope for a hybridized 718 variant but could not hope for the flagship 911 to go electric soon.
