Sally Rooney is an Irish author and screenwriter. She was born on 20 February 1991, in Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland. Rooney studied English at Trinity College Dublin. She has a degree in American literature.
Rooney wrote her first novel at the age of 15. She published her first two poems in The Stinging Fly magazine. Later she signed with Tracy Bohan to write Conversations with Friends a novel. And also she has been the executive producer and writer for Normal People which got released in 2020.
