He was born on March 6, 1992, in Stanford, California, U.S. Sam Bankman-Fried attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in physics and a minor in mathematics in 2014. Sam Bankman-Fried founded Alameda Research in 2017. He owns 90% of the company and he also founded FTX a Bahamian cryptocurrency exchange in 2019. And the company has a policy of donating its 1% of revenue to charity. He currently lives in the Bahamas.
