Sevgil Musaieva is the editor in chief of top independent news site Ukrayinska Pravda. Meaning “Ukrainian truth,” Ukrayinska Pravda reaches up to 4 million people with its journalism each day. It makes itself an essential source of information on the war for both those in Ukraine and the foreign followers. The 35 year old was born on 18 June 1987 in Juma near Samarkand. Sevgil returned with her family to Crimea in 1989 when the restrictions against the Crimean Tatars in the Soviet Union were abandoned. Since October 2014 Musayeva is a chief editor of Ukrayinska Pravda. She is one of Time magazine’s top 100 most influential people of 2022.
