She has played roles like femme fatales and women of mystery in her movies and also television. After a decent modelling career in the television commercials and print advertisments, Stone made her film debut in the movie Stardust (1980), but actually played her first role in which she actually said something in the movie Deadly Blessing (1981) and found her mainstream recognition after her movie Total Recall (1990).She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995, and was named Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2005.
