Overview
The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek has the crossover styling with hatchback like ride quality and handling. There is plug-in hybrid option also available with standard all-wheel drivetrain. Its interior is not that much exciting and its base engine is feels slightly underpowered. Good thing is that it has more ground clearance than a hatchback.

Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The base engine is powered by 2.0-litre flat four-cylinder which generates 152 HP and 145 pound-feet of peak torque and paired with 6-speed manual and optional continuous variable transmission (CVT). But for some users it feels underpowered and noisy so its better to upgrade in powerful powertrain. The 2.5-litre flat four-cylinder engine produces 182 HP and 176 pound-feet of peak torque and mated to CVT. The Crosstrek has the firmed ride quality and good steering feedback gives more confidence while cornering. Croostrek with its base engine does 0 to 60 MPH in whopping 9.2 seconds while sportier version does the same in 7.2 seconds. Hybrid variant took 8.5 seconds to hit 60 MPH mark.
