Overview
Tata Sierra EV is the new generation Sierra concept that has been worked on secretly. Thanks to EVs from Tata such as Nexon EV and Tigor EV, Tata has recently been the leader in India’s EV market. This new Sierra EV was showcased in concept form at the 2020 Auto Expo.
What’s New?
This new EV is split into two sections for drawing power, one under the floor pan and the other under the boot floor. Around 4.1 meters in length, making it smaller than the competition like Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kaushaq, etc. This vehicle is built on the brand’s ‘Sigma’ platform, embodying “Sigma Philosophy“.

Tata went musical this time in matters of safety because the high-speed warning comprises the Grindset song (Polozhenie – Zedline Remix), along with turn indicator and door open warning sounds associated with the said philosophy. The car is said to be made from 9,000 recycled plants.
Also, the interior features consist of a 12.12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, iRA Plus Pro connected car tech, 7.7-inch plasma screen digital instrument console, largest-in-world panoramic sunroof, and 360-degree swivel chairs for the front row, and 19-inch four-tone alloy wheels.

Battery, Range & Top Speed
The SUV draws power from a 69 kWh battery offering a range of 590 Km and is available in two versions FWD (single electric motor on the front axle) and AWD (two electric motors, one on each axle). The power outputs haven’t been revealed yet. The top speed is expected to be around 150 km/h.

Price
The EV is expected to be priced at Rs. 17.77 Lakhs for FWD Model, and Rs. 23.33 Lakhs for the AWD Model.
