The BMW M4 CSL Rocket Acceleration Put To Test

Marking its 50th anniversary this year, BMW’s M division hit the milestone with the reveal of their CSL-badged performance coupe. BMW launched the 2023 BMW M4 CSL, a performance beast with the ability to temple your bones. The coupe was launched after the four BMW CSL prototypes were shown this year. The M4 CSL is based on the 3rd prototype of the four shown earlier in 2023. The M4 CSL is the fastest production BMW to lap the Nurburgring’s Nordschleife circuit, with a 7:20.2 time. The improvements are all thanks to performance upgrades done by BMW’s motorsports division making it one of the most hardcore M-badged cars yet.

Hardcore design meets hardcore performance

The BMW M4 CSL comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine tuned to make over 543 hp (404 KW) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm). With its lightweight chassis and decreased weight can hit 0-60 mph run in just 3.6 seconds. It can also go from 0-120 mph in under 10.5 seconds. The M4 CSL also offers an increased pressure to 30.5 psi compared to the M4 Competition.

The car still managed to reach 168 mph (271 kph) regardless.
