Overview
Electric vehicles are automobiles that are propelled by one or more electrical motors, utilizing power stored in rechargeable batteries. The first possible electrical cars were created in the 1880s. Electrical cars were common in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century until advances in conventional IC engines. And mass production of cheaper gasoline and diesel vehicles led to a decrease in the usage of electrical driving vehicles. In 2008, the revival in electrical vehicle manufacturing happened because of advancements in batteries, and the tendency to reduce greenhouse emissions and improve urban air quality. 1. Raesr Tachyon Speed
Rice Advanced Engineering Systems and Research (RAESR) is an American manufacturer. Founded in 2014 and specializes in the production of electric sports cars. The design of the vehicle is inspired by a jet fighter and Le Mans Prototype. The electric motors used in this vehicle produce over 1,250 hp and torque of 3,650 lb⋅ft. The vehicle has a top speed of 240 mph and gives a driving range of 150 miles.
2. Dendrobium D1
This electric vehicle, equipped with two electric motors is capable of delivering a insane power of 1,800 horsepower and a torque of 1,475 lb-ft. With such insane power output, the vehicle would accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just under 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of over 200 mph.
3. ELegend EL1
With a design inspired by the Audi Sport Quattro from the 1980s. This vehicle has a 90kWh battery that can produce a power output of 800bhp. This can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.8secs and has a driving range of 249 miles. The vehicle will have a top speed of 186 mph and only 30 units are planned to produce with each one costing over $ 1 million.
4. Lotus Type 135
The company is in plans to produce this electric vehicle in 2016. With the 66.4 kilowatt-hour battery and a single rear-mounted electric motor, the vehicle gets a power output of 469 hp and has a driving range of 265 miles. And also the other version will have a 99.6-kWh battery and dual motors that deliver at least 871 hp power output with a driving range of 450 miles.
5. Piëch GT
Piëch Automotive is a manufacturer based in Switzerland. The company was founded in 2017. This electric vehicle will have a power output of 604 hp and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds also the vehicle can speed up to 125 mph in under 9 seconds. To achieve this the vehicle will use pouch cell batteries instead of lithium-ion batteries. This pouch cell technology will charge the battery to 80% in just 2 sec and provides a driving range of 310 miles.
6. Wiesmann Project Thunderball
Project Thunderball equipped with two electric motors can produce a power output of 671 horsepower and a torque of 811 pound-feet. The vehicle with a weight of 3,747 pounds can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds. It will have an 83-kWh battery and provides a driving range of 311 miles.
7. NIO EP9
This Chinese electric vehicle is assisted by their Formula E racing division and the EP9 stands for electric performance 9. The vehicle will have a separate motor for each wheel providing 335hp which is equal to a total of 1,340 hp. The vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in just 2.7 seconds and gets a driving range of 265 miles with a charge time of around 45 minutes.
8. Deus Vayanne
This vehicle made its debut at the New York International Auto Show in April 2022. And the plan is to produce only 99 units starting from 2025. The vehicle can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just under two seconds and can reach a top speed of 248 mph. The battery specifications are unknown while the expected driving range of the vehicle is 310 miles.
9. Momentum Huvra
There isn’t much information known about this vehicle. And expected to have a power output in the range of 250 to 900 hp, a driving range of 497 miles, an acceleration time of 1.8 seconds from 0-62 mph, and a price between $82,000 to $153,000
10. GFG Kangaroo
The concept vehicle, designed and built by Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio. The vehicle will have City, Long Road, Sport, and Race Track modes with a different power output ranging from 250hp to over 900 hp. With a top speed of 186 mph, the vehicle will have a driving range of around 497 miles. It can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 1.8 seconds and has a starting price of $82,000.
