The Six cylinder engine is considered a mid-tier engine choice for vehicles with the flat four-cylinder being the base model and the V8 being the highly powerful one. But these six-cylinder engines have come a long way to being more powerful and efficient. There are a few giant vehicles that completely have a six-cylinder engine without any V8 engine. Though the V8s are still on top when it comes to power, the six-cylinder is the most liked one for its combined output of fuel economy along with the power. 1. Jeep Cherokee Classic
Second-generation Cherokee, the Jeep Cherokee (XJ) was produced from 1984 to 2001. This vehicle featured a lightweight unibody design instead of a body-on-frame chassis. The SUV has a 4.0-liter straight-6 engine that produces a power output of 190 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque.
