1. Kia Sonet Facelift
Kia has unveiled the facelifted Sonet that adds a touch of modernity and mean aesthetics. While the exact prices are yet to be announced (expected in January 2024), it is speculated to start from Rs. 8 lakh which is a slight increase from the current model’s Rs. 7.5 lakh. The mid and top-end variants, likely exceeding Rs. 10 lakh promise features like Level 1 ADAS, a sunroof, auto climate control, cooled seats, and an enhanced touchscreen infotainment system. The base model ensures safety with six airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, and rear parking sensors. The mechanical aspects are expected to remain unchanged, with a potential addition of a manual gearbox for the diesel engine.
2. New Maruti Suzuki Dzire:
In tandem with the Swift, Maruti Suzuki is preparing the new Dzire for the Indian automotive market. The new Dzire will share its design alterations for a mid-2024 launch. It will be mechanically aligned with the Swift and will retain the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder NA petrol engine, offering the 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. Both models will also feature CNG options.
3. Tata Altroz Facelift:
Tata continues its model updates with the Altroz and is expected to receive exterior design language enhancements and more premium interiors. The facelifted Altroz will offer a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and other features. Mechanically, it will offer a choice of engines, including the 88bhp 1.2-litre NA petrol, 110 bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and the 90bhp 1.5-litre turbo diesel. Transmission options comprise a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic.
4. Nissan Magnite Facelift:
Nissan plans to update its Magnite, the only model currently on sale before launching a mid-size SUV. The Magnite facelift will feature exterior design changes and refreshed interiors for a more modern and premium look. Mechanically, it retains the 1.0-litre NA petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines, available with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. The facelifted Magnite will be exported to more countries.
5. New Maruti Suzuki Swift:
The new generation of the Maruti Suzuki Swift is already cruising on Japanese roads and is set to hit Indian streets in early 2024. It is built on a heavily revised HEARTECT platform and features design changes inspired by the Fronx and new interiors. The 2024 Swift packs a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 82 bhp and 108 Nm. It offers a mild-hybrid option and is likely to come with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The CVT may be available on higher variants.
