Overview
The 2022 Toyota Tacoma is the perfect off-roader with plenty of standard driver assistance features. But it will lead down you in day to day city commute with its clumsy automatic transmission. Tacoma’s 2nd row seating is compact and interior is dated so far. It offers four-cylinder engine and V6 engine making 270 HP mated to either standard manual transmission or optional 6-speed automatic transmission which is not that much refined. Tacoma’s driving manner can’t be compare with the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado and it also has less customizable options than Jeep Wrangler.

Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 mph & Performance
The 2022 Toyota Tacoma is come in two engine options such as standard four-cylinder engine and optional V6 engine producing 270 HP and mated to standard manual transmission and optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Its four-cylinder engine is underpowered as compared to rivals and its automatic transmission is quite clumsy. So, better to opt V6 with manual transmission.
Tacoma’s TRD Pro and TRD off-road variants are for adventure seekers while TRD Sport and Limited variants are for city commuters. Tacoma’s handling is not so good because of lifted suspensions but its ride quality is perfectly off-roading oriented. Its rear-wheel drive variant can tow 6800 pounds and four-wheel drive variant can tow up to 6500 pounds with maximum payload capacity of 1685 pounds. Tacoma 2022 can go up to the top speed of 113 mph and have a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 7.7 seconds for V6 variant which is pretty insane for a heavy vehicle like this.
Fuel Economy | Mileage
According to EPA, the Tacoma delivers 23 mpg on highway still which is less than the Honda Ridgeline.
