Ferrari SF90 XX Revealed With Some Aggressive Looks
Ferrari has unveiled a more aggressive edition of the legendary SF90 and this time even more power and wild design. Italian manufacturer inject more horsepower with the help of its plug-in hybrid powertrain. Ferrari claims a zero to 100 kmph (62mph) time 0.2 second quicker then the SF90. Brand have launched it in Stradale coupe and a Spider convertible body type with a limited number.
Engine, Transmission & Performance
Ferrari will built 799 units of Stradale coupe and 599 units of spider. Both with the same 4.0-liters Twin-Turbo V8 Plug-In Hybrid powertrain. It has three electric motors, two for the front axle and one between engine and transmission. The power output grows to total 1,016 horsepower which is really insane. The V8 in the supercar makes 786 horsepower which is 17 horsepower more then the previous one. This happened with the help of new pistons, specific machining of the combustion chamber, and polished inlet and exhaust ducts. Electric motor also generate more power and its now 229 horsepower. The transmission remains same, 8-Speed dual clutch transmission.
Braking, Top Speed & Price
The battery capacity remains same in the supercar, 7.9 kilowatt-hours. The range with battery is 25 kilometers (15.53 Miles) and a top speed on EV is 135 km/h (84 mph). The Ferrari SF90 XX can go from zero to 62 Mph (100 kmph) in just 2.3 seconds and have a top speed of 320 kmph (320 mph). The SF90 XX has improved braking from redesigned front calipers with better cooling. The rear rotors grow to 390 mm instead of the existing 360 mm. A new ABS EVO controller works with the 6W-CDS sensor to get an estimation of the vehicle’s speed and then calculate the proper braking distribution. The coupe’s price is about $844,000 USD at current exchange rates and the Spider costs even more at around $932,000.
