VinFast VF6 Specifications & Features
The smallest vehicle produced by the Vietnamese automaker is the 2024 VinFast VF6. The battery-electric VF6, which is roughly the same size as the Kia Niro EV, aims to revitalise the market for compact electric SUVs with its eye-catching V-shaped LED “eyebrows” and variety of vibrant exterior colours. The VF6 is only available with a single electric motor, which propels the front wheels and is rated at 174 horsepower in base Eco mode. If you choose the Plus variant, the VF6’s performance increases to 201 horsepower thanks to its bigger capacity battery pack. Regarding information on the charging time and maximum driving range, VinFast is still keeping quiet. But if the larger VF8 and VF9 electric SUVs are any indicator, the VF6 might be able to cover up to 230 miles on a single charge.
What’s New?
The VinFast VF6 is an entirely new device. Production is anticipated to begin near the end of 2023. The VF6, which made its premiere at the 2022 Los Angeles car show, has a nicely decorated interior with perforated faux leather to match the copper-colored trim and door handles. We are interested to see what the interior of a base model looks like since we assume that this car reflects the VF6 in its flashiest configuration. The VF6 has five seats, similar to other cars in its market.
VinFast VF6 Motor, Battery, Range & Performance
A single electric motor will drive the front wheels of each VF6. According to VinFast, the powertrain in the base Eco model will generate 174 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Whereas the more expensive Plus trim has 228 pound-feet of torque and 201 horsepower. There are no specifics available regarding the VF6’s battery life or overall performance.

We are unable to suggest a trim for the VF6 due to the scant information currently available. Yet, the little VinFast SUV is expected to revolutionise the conventional EV ownership experience. The VF6 is anticipated to give customers the option of a monthly battery membership that is separate from the model’s base pricing, similar to VinFast’s other models.

More Features
The VF6 features a lone center-mounted touchscreen display reminiscent of the setup in the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. Unlike those Tesla models, though, the VF6 complements its big infotainment screen with a head-up display that projects pertinent information directly in the driver’s line of sight. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, while a voice-activated navigation system comes standard.
