Volkswagen ID.Xcite Debuts With 300 HP, Lamborghini Paint

The German carmaker has an appetite for playing with their cars and spec them up and making them interesting and cool. VW’s latest adventure has something to do differently with its electric cars like the previous ID.Xtreme concept. This time the German automaker can redesign the VW ID.5 GTX and beef it up. The all-new Volkswagen ID.Xcite offers two electric motors that make a hefty 300 horsepower paired with an all-wheel drive system.

About:

The new ID.5 Xcite follows the footsteps of GTX-based off-roader, the ID.Xtreme concept that was shown last week. VW revealed the ID.X last year which was based on the ID.3 EV the automaker planned to build in the future. A team of 14 apprentices on VW build this concept which took a year to finally complete it. The team created a special exterior paint job with gloss and matte finishes they took from Lamborghini and Volkswagen.

The Volkwagen ID.Xcite concept comes with new 22-inch forged alloy wheels with powder-coated rims for better aerodynamics. The team has added a new wider door sill, reworked wheelhouses, and new fenders on both front and back. They’ve blacked out the Volkswagen badge to match the dark trim and the ride height is now decreased.

The EV packs a set of electric motors powering each axle and making over 300 hp of power paired with an all-wheel drive system. Inside the VW ID.Xcite packs a combination of vegan leather and Alcantara that looks cool and neat. The EV also packs an ear-thumping set of 10 amplifiers and 2,000W of speakers at the back (good luck with music!). The ID.Xcite concept packs an electric skateboard at the rear which you can take out and reach your destination.
