2022 Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar is ready for the streets, and it did hit the 270 mph mark. But, it did need a bigger runway for that 300+ mph.
Is it ready for Public Consumption?
For customers, production would be as many as 12 vehicles per year Hennessey said. And only 24 are being made in total that’s the main thing to remember and each of them costs $2.1m.
Engine, Top-Speed & 0-60
The development of the 1,792 bhp V8 turbocharged hypercar is complete and doesn’t require any fine-tuning or final tweaks. This all happened after a lot of high-speed runs, brake tests and suspension validation.
During the final validation, the F5 managed to hit 270 mph but the Hennessey team intends to make it 300 mph by the end of the year. The 0-60 mph run is just 2.6 seconds. Needing a longer runway, Hennessey spokesperson told they just need a big stretch of tarmac to go 300mph, and they don’t want to use a customer car to do so.
The 6.6L modified twin-turbo V8 nicknamed ‘Fury’ not only kicks out 1,792bhp but also 1,617 Nm of torque and redlines at 8,000rpm.
