Audi TT/TTS Specifications & Features
The 2023 Audi TT/TTS has been around for a bit, but it’s still a head-turner and a joy to drive. However, it’s not exactly a two-seater thrill machine. You can get it as a coupe or a convertible, both packing a 228-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The TTS steps it up with a 288-hp version of the same engine, offering more oomph. While the Porsche 718 Cayman and Toyota Supra outdo the Audi in pure performance, even the spicier TTS can’t match their acceleration and handling. It comes standard with AWD and a dual-clutch automatic transmission, but, regrettably, there’s no manual option for the TT or TTS, which might be a downside for driving enthusiasts.
What’s New?
In Audi’s TT lineup, the regular TT and TTS see only a small change with new 18-inch wheels. The strong TT RS said goodbye after 2022. Sadly, 2023 is the final year for this small roadster. Audi says farewell with the Final Edition, and only 50 are available in the U.S. It comes with special touches like Goodwood Green paint, a Palomino Brown inside, and a cool gray cloth top. It’s a special goodbye to a car that left its mark.
Audi TT/TTS Engine, Power & Performance
Boosting the TT’s power is a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine, cranking out 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The TTS amps it up, delivering a robust 288 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Both cars sport a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with Quattro AWD. Opt for either, and you’ll relish nimble handling. The TTS impresses with a reasonably swift 0-60 mph time in the low four-second range, although it trails behind competitors like Toyota Supras, Corvette Stingrays, and Porsche 718 Caymans.

According to the EPA, both body styles of the Audi TT are rated for 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. Curiously, the more powerful TTS coupe earned ratings of 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, making it a more fuel-efficient choice than rival sports cars.

When it comes to features, the TT has got you covered with standard navigation, a top-notch audio system, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All included. Notably, the TT ditches the conventional central display screen or touchscreen approach. Instead, it cleverly showcases infotainment functions right in the digital gauge cluster in front of the driver. Steering wheel buttons take charge of most functions, making it user-friendly and hands-on.

With the stronger TT RS out of the lineup, it makes sense to invest the extra money in the TTS and its improved engine. However, it’s essential to note that the TTS is exclusively available in the coupe style. If you prefer the top-down driving experience, then the convertible, also known as the Roadster, is the suitable choice for you.
