2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is a great car with enough physical strength and its punch is Herculean. The car has great superpowers which include agile steering, a well-balanced ride, race track-capable handling, and a 472-hp twin-turbo V6 pairs with sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and rear-wheel drive. While not as cheeky as the charismatic 668-hp CT5-V Blackwing, a six-speed manual model with an impressive 4.0-sec launch to 60 mph.
The Caddy also has a track edition named after different tracks visited by the IMSA SportsCar Championship. This includes Sebring, Watkins Glen, and Road Atlanta. Last year when Cadillac introduced the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing, the automaker named the first 250 units of both as V-Series Collector’s Series. Now, the American automaker is expanding the V-Series Collector’s Series with the CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions. This honors Cadillac’s successes in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

What’s New?
The Sebring IMSA Edition honors the Twelve Hours of Sebring in Florida; which Cadillac won in 2021 and 2022. The car sports a minimal look with a dark Maverick Noir Frost paint job, as the race ends in the dead of night. This minimal color is coupled with Tech Bronze brake calipers and the interior accents. Which is either Signet or Sky Cool Gray. While the Watkins Glen IMSA Edition features the same interior trim but sports Electric Blue paint with Royal Blue brakes. Remembering the light blue guardrails marks the boundaries of the iconic track. The Road Atlanta IMSA Edition sports a Rift metallic paint job, emulating the “overall elevated environment of Road Atlanta” and “the sophistication of the city.” The interior trim is either Adrenaline Red or Sky Cool Gray accents.
Engine & Performance
The CT4-V Blackwing houses a twin-turbo 3.6L V6 producing 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. That power is beautifully transferred to the rear wheels via a standard six-speed manual or an optional 10-speed automatic. AWD is not available. The Blackwing sounds better than the ATS-V predecessor, has tons of steering feedback, and possesses one of the best balances of ride-handling in its class. Every model is equipped with adaptive dampers, a powerful braking system, and an electronic limited-slip differential that make it racetrack-ready. The CT4-V Blackwing’s interior has some additional frills compared with the regular CT4 lineup—with carbon-fiber trim, microsuede accents, and more supportive front seats.
Fuel Economy
2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Mileage | City | Highway |
Manual CT4-V Blackwing | 15 mpg | 23 mpg |
Automatic CT4-V Blackwing | 16 mpg | 24 mpg |
The CT4-V Blackwing with the automatic transmission is EPA rated at 16 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. While the manual model loses 1 mpg in both terms. The powerful V6 is thirsty for fuel and one wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a toll on the wallet.
