The 2023 Kia EV9 electric SUV is coming to the US.
Kia announced that it will launch the Kia EV9 Electric SUV in the US in 2023. Kia also said that it will launch two premium electric pickup trucks before 2027. The upcoming Kia EV9 will be a three-row SUV. It will be the electric option for the popular Kia Telluride. Like all carmakers, Kia is all set to diversify more in the EV sector. As there are very few electric pickups and SUVs in the market, especially U.S. So the EV9 will be a popular hit in the U.S when it arrives.
It was first shown by Kia in late 2021 at the LA Auto Show. There, Steven Centre, the COO of Kia will be having 300 miles of driving range. It is confirmed that the production model will have a similar driving range as the concept version. As the EV9 is based on the Kia Telluride, the EV9 is much bolder and larger. The EV9 will cost more than Kia Telluride. It will be based on the E-GMP global platform. It will be based on the 800-volt architecture and bi-directional charging.

Power output, 0-60, Top speed & Price
The Kia EV9 will pack a dual-electric motor setup. It will produce over 345 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. It will have an expected 0-60 mph time of 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. The 2023 Kia EV9 will start with a price of around $50,000.
Kia says it will launch 14 new all-electric vehicles. That will include two new pickups before 2027. They will be based on the same platform. As said by Russell Wager, Kia America’s VP, Kia will launch its EV pickup trucks globally. The upcoming Kia EV pickups will be very pricier than the current company’s priority.
