Nissan Rogue Specifications & Features
The current 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport is essentially the same compact crossover that is sold in Europe with the more amusing moniker Qashqai. It fills the small space between the wee Kicks and the Rogue. Nissan has stated that the Rogue Sport will be phased out after the 2022 model year, but we’re not sure the most recent Qashqai will completely avoid the North American market. Nissan’s new model should look just as well in our market if it decides to sell it here, even if it goes under a different nameplate. Nevertheless, a hybrid powertrain won’t. Instead, we believe that American vehicles will come with a four-cylinder petrol engine.
What’s New?
We’d anticipate it to go on sale in 2023 if Nissan chooses to replace the Rogue Sport with a new model based on the European Qashqai. With a more artistically formed dashboard, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and an electronic display in tablet form, the interior appears to have undergone a significant overhaul. A digital gauge display, quilted leather upholstery, embroidered dash and door panels, and other upscale SL trim features can all be seen in photos of the vehicle intended for the European market.
Nissan Rogue Sport Engine, Power, Performance & Acceleration
Although hybrid models will be available in other areas, the U.S. Rogue Sport will probably still have a four-cylinder gasoline engine. Nissan is expected to only use a continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT) with this engine. But provide customers the choice of front- or all-wheel drive.

Nissan hasn’t yet disclosed price or trim-level details for a prospective 2023 model, but we anticipate that the S, SV, and SL trims of the outgoing Rogue Sport will receive an upgrade. The cost should also remain fairly flat, with the base model starting at about $25,000. We’ll update this article whenever we have more details.
