2023 Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric Debuts With 149-Mile Range

Renault revealed the 2023 Trafic Van E-Tech Electric Van at the IAA Transportation Motorshow in Hannover, Germany. The automaker’s latest commercial EV will sit between the Kangoo and the Master.

EV Motor & Specifications:

The new 2023 Renault Trafic Van E-Tech comes with a single electric motor that makes 121 hp (90 KW). The Trafic E-Tech offers 149 miles powered by its 52-kWh battery. The electric van offers 7-kW and 22-kW AC charging with a 50-kW DC fast charger offered along with the car. Renault offers the Trafic E-Tech with two options with different body types. One comes with a length of 16.67-inch, a height of 6.45-inch and offers a cargo volume of 205 cubic feet. Another comes with 17.98 inches in length, a height of 8.20 feet, and offers a storage volume of 314cubic feet.

The electric van weighs 2,430 pounds (1,100 kgs) and offers a towing capacity of 1,653 pounds (750 kgs). The 2023 Trafic E-Tech also offers a cabin floor variant for people who need a custom vehicle. Although Renault didn’t reveal the official price or when will the electric van will go on sale of the van in Europe.

Renault revealed the Hippie Caviar Hotel RV Concept as a pre-production Trafic EV. The concept came with several luxury features like drones delivering food in the wild. The RV concept also came with a sliding rear door for more convenience and a rooftop terrace with backrests. This year, Renault brought the smaller version of the Hippie Caviar at the Motorshow. The concept uses the Kangoo electric as the starting point. The RV concept, offers a panoramic roof, a ski rack, and a bench that folds into a bed.
