Buick Envista Engine, Power & Performance
All Envista models share a turbocharged 1.2L three-cylinder engine, delivering 136 hp. They exclusively use a six-speed automatic transmission to power the front wheels since AWD isn’t an option. While it feels spirited for everyday driving, pushing hard for highway passing reveals a bit of sluggishness. On the test track, it took the Envista 9.3 seconds to hit 60 mph, with a more satisfactory 6.7 seconds for 50 mph. Yet, beyond that point, the turbocharged three loses steam. However, the Envista isn’t designed for speed or sharp turns. Instead, it prioritizes a comfortable and quiet ride. With confident handling, a controlled ride, precise steering, and a firm brake pedal, it excels in offering a pleasant driving experience.
