The 2024 Elantra, a compact sedan, is known for its practicality as a transportation option. It appeals to first-time buyers with its fuel efficiency and maneuverability. The standard powertrain in the Elantra SE and SEL models is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which delivers 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. For a more spirited experience. The N Line model offers a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid variants also feature a 1.6-liter engine, coupled with an electric motor. Resulting in slightly lower horsepower at 139 but higher torque at 195 pound-feet, matching the N Line. The SE and SEL come with a CVT, while the N Line, Blue Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid models are equipped with a DCT. Notably, the N Line has a seven-speed DCT, while the hybrids have a six-speed DCT.

The SEL model of the Elantra strikes a great balance between price and features. It comes with additional standard content compared to the SE, including a hands-free trunk release and SiriusXM. Choosing the SEL opens up more worthwhile options to enhance your driving experience. The Hyundai Elantra lineup ranges from $22,000 for the SE to $31,000 for the Limited Hybrid. According to EPA estimates, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Elantra can achieve up to 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. Models equipped with the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine have estimates of up to 28 mpg city and 36 mpg highway. The most fuel-efficient hybrid Elantra achieves an impressive 53 mpg in the city and 56 mpg on the highway.

After taking the N Line for a spin, we were thoroughly impressed with its spirited acceleration and nimble handling, adding a touch of athleticism without sacrificing ride comfort. The Hyundai Elantra N will probably incorporate the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the now-discontinued Veloster N hatchback. Previously, this engine delivered 276 horsepower, but it remains uncertain if the 2024 Elantra N will receive any power enhancements to complement its updated appearance. According to the EPA, models equipped with a manual transmission achieve approximately 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, while automatic transmissions deliver around 20 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

During our instrument testing of the 2023 Elantra N, we witnessed impressive acceleration figures, with sprints to 60 mph taking just 5.1 seconds and a quarter-mile run completed in 13.8 seconds at a trap speed of 105 mph. The Elantra N maintains the all-digital dashboard found in the regular Elantra model, featuring a spacious 10.3-inch digital gauge display positioned alongside a slightly angled 10.3-inch infotainment display that prioritizes the driver’s perspective. Standard features will probably include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, ensuring a well-equipped and connected driving experience.
