The Mahindra XUV400 was unveiled with great enthusiasm last year and has made a significant impact in terms of sales. However, the arrival of the Nexon.EV facelift shifted the dynamics in favour of the latter. While the XUV400 excels in many aspects, it falls short in terms of premium interiors and features compared to its competitors. Mahindra is set to address this by introducing an updated version of the XUV400, and ahead of the official launch, details from its brochure have surfaced. In this article, we’ll delve into the enhancements and changes featured in the upcoming 2024 Mahindra XUV400.

Mahindra will introduce two new variants – EC Pro and EL Pro. These variants bring a host of new features to elevate the driving experience. The EC Pro variant incorporates additions like a push-button start/stop system, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, and Rear USB. On the flip side, the EL Pro variant boasts a 10.25-inch infotainment system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Additional features include a revamped 10.25-inch instrument cluster, reminiscent of the XUV700, a redesigned steering wheel (similar to the XUV700 based on earlier spy shots), dual-tone interiors, an updated dashboard, 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, front fog lamps, and cruise control.

The 2024 Mahindra XUV400 offers two battery pack options, a 39.5 kWh pack for the EC Pro variants and a base 34 kWh pack available for both EC Pro and EL Pro variants. The 34 kWh pack delivers a real-world range of 250 km, while the 39.5 kWh pack claims an extended range of 290 km. Both variants are equipped with a 148 bhp motor generating 310 Nm of torque. Charging the electric SUV from 0 to 100% takes approximately 6 hours using a 7.2 kW charger.

Launch Details

With the leaked brochure, the launch of the updated XUV400 seems imminent likely to take place in January. Following that, Mahindra will introduce the XUV300 facelift in February. In terms of pricing, the electric car will offer a moderate increase ranging from Rs 40,000 to 50,000 for the new variants. The current pricing of the XUV400 spans from Rs 17.03 lakh to Rs 20.21 lakh (on-road).
