But not everyone of them contains a powerful engine some sports cars comes with a boring truck or economy car engine and you may be thinking why so. The reason behind this is mainly cost-saving, or you can say it can be just plain laziness. When someone hears the name of multinational automotive companies like McLaren, Koenigsegg, Dodge and Lotus, they would think that these are the supercars that comes with big V8 or V10 engines. But it is not so as these cars also reserve their spots in this list.

3. Noble M400 Ford Duratec V6

Noble is a UK based company that modified the Duratec engine using twin turbos, and forged pistons which resulted in its increased horse power of 400 hp. Having a price tag of $94,250 with a V6 engine helps this car to a top speed of 188 mph and 0-60 mph time of 3.5 sec.

4. Venturi 400GT Peugeot PRV V6

Not many have heard the name of Venturi as only 100 units of these cars were ever built and only 15 of them were used on-road. 6. Koenigsegg CCR Ford Modular V8
