10 Alternatives Of The Ford Mustang Mach-E

The all new Ford Mustang Mach-E is super sporty and at the same time practical too. But it is its price that leaves a concerning thought to people’s mind. Here are the 10 alternatives of Mustang Mach-E…

Overview

As long as the various infrastructure requirements are met, electric cars will continue to have a significant impact on every aspect of the automotive industry. The Ford Mustang Mach-E is one such electric car making waves. Despite having an inappropriate name, the Mustang Mach-E is a decent electric vehicle. The styling is excellent, the functionality is adequate for families, and the cost is reasonable for the segment. Thanks to a single 260hp motor and a 68 kWh battery, the base Mach-E has an official range of about 230 miles. The power output of the dual-motor version was 428lb.ft, which is more than 100lb-ft more. With a larger 88 kWh battery, the Extended Range model’s range and power are increased to 300 miles and 290hp, respectively. A top-of-the-line Mach-E GT version was also released by Ford, but it only has a 270-mile official range despite having 480hp and 600lb-ft of torque. The Mustang Mach-E ended up surpassing expectations, even taking home the 2021 North American SUV of the Year award. While the Mach-E is impressive, there are both electric and electrically-assisted alternatives in this price range that are even slightly less expensive. Here are five hybrids and five electric cars you can buy in place of the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The VW ID.4 is the crossover/SUV version of the Tiguan that runs on electricity, but it has odder styling. The battery capacity of the model, which ranges from 55 to 82 kWh, determines the output, which also depends on the trim and the number of motors. The ID.4 has a power range starting at 148hp and going all the way up to 295hp in the all-wheel-drive GTX model. The best battery to power ratio, giving it an official range of more than 320 miles, is found in the mid-range ID.4 Pro.

Even though the Kia Niro was introduced in 2016, it already has a long list of awards to display. Released in 2021, the second-generation Niro is only offered as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or fully electric vehicle. The Niro EV has a single 200hp electric motor coupled to a 64.8 kWh battery that provides 240 miles of range.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the best and most well-known electric vehicles. The Ioniq 5 was the first vehicle to demonstrate that futuristic automotive styling doesn’t have to be boring. It was first displayed as a concept car and then went into full production with few changes. The Ioniq 5 can be ordered with two different batteries, in either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and it can handle charging at a rate of up to 350 kW. With official ranges of more than 300 miles for both the Long-Range and Extra-Long-Range models, they are both respectable electric vehicles.

The hybrid mentioned earlier is equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged i4 and has a 2.5L engine with 187 horsepower. The North American versions are only long-wheelbase models. Although some people may not like the Sportage’s styling, it is still a good car for the money.

Since its introduction in 1995, the Honda CR-V has consistently been one of the best and most reliable SUVs on the market. 2019 saw a facelift for the Honda CR-V’s current generation as well as the addition of a hybrid drivetrain. Although all-wheel drive is an option for every trim, front-wheel drive is the standard configuration for the CR-V. A 2.0L naturally aspirated inline-4 and an electric motor are both installed in the hybrid, and they together produce 212hp. Since the Toyota RAV4 is currently among the most popular crossover/SUVs available worldwide, Toyota has made some modifications. The range is available with standard gasoline engines, but the top-of-the-line model has a 2.5L inline-4 engine with natural aspiration coupled to an electric motor. The resulting hybrid has a 220hp output. The RAV4 Hybrid has a Prime version, like most Toyota hybrid products, which converts the drivetrain to a plug-in hybrid and boosts performance, giving it 302hp. If you don’t like the way the RAV4 looks, legendary Japanese coachbuilder Mitsouka Motors sells a body kit that transforms the vehicle into a contemporary version of the Chevy K5 Blazer.

1. Toyota Camry Hybrid

Although it might seem like an odd choice as a Ford Mustang Mach-E alternative, the Toyota Camry Hybrid is one of the most well-liked hybrid cars currently on the market. The Camry Hybrid, which has a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor, only sends 208hp to the front wheels through a CVT that can mimic physical gears. Despite being practical and efficient, the Camry has always been fairly boring. Fortunately, Toyota made the decision to spice up the lineup with better equipment and more fun-oriented options. Even the TRD body kit, which adds a spoiler to the trunk, is available for the Camry. So even though the Mustang Mach-E may be a respectable electric vehicle, the Toyota Camry is one of the best available hybrids.
