2023 Nissan Navara SL Warrior is a product of Nissan and Premcar. As they are expanding the Warrior products in Australia and this new Navara SL Warrior is backed up by a full factory warranty. This rugged Aussie-tuned version of the Jap pickup sits below the Pro-4X Warrior. Making it an entry-level option for prioritizing off-road capabilities. Based on the SL dual-cab trim of the AU-spec Navara, but with slight styling and chassis upgrades. What’s New?
The exterior of the Navara SL Warrior gets its unique looks from a metal bullbar with integrated LEDs and winch compatibility. This protects the front end. Unfortunately, the pickup doesn’t sport the flashy LED headlights but gets halogen units of the SL trim instead. The underbody protection is also Navara-branded painted in black, with Warrior stickers on the profile. At the rear, there is a towbar, completely using the pickup’s 3,500 kg towing capacity.

The whole heavy body sits on a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Cooper Discoverer All Terrain AT3 tires. These provide great off-road traction, along with plastic bolt-on fenders covering the extra width. The locally tuned suspension is raised by 40 mm, increasing the ground clearance to 260 mm. This made the car have a positive effect on the approach angle, increasing to 36 degrees. While the departure stands at 19 degrees. The new Premcar’s suspension features springs that have revised rates for “more front-end support and less body roll”. And the new dampers and jounce bumpers increase “better compliance, sound insulation, and reduced float when towing or carrying a load”.

For the interior, Premcar has added easy-to-clean all-weather floor mats, while the rest of the cabin remains stock. The Warrior gets the similar 8-inch infotainment touchscreen found in Nissan’s Navara SL. A 7-inch screen in the instrument cluster, manual air-conditioning, a six-speaker stereo system, reversing camera, and USB ports for charging. Under the hood lies a stock twin-turbo 2.3L diesel engine which produces 188 Hp and 450 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic.

Price
The Navara SL Warrior starts from $40,316 with a manual and from $42,054 with an automatic. Making it $7,924 more expensive than the regular, but $6,597 cheaper than the flagship Pro-4X Warrior. The pickup is expected to hit dealerships in August.
