Engine, Top Speed, 0-60 MPH & Performance
The 2022 TLX will be powered by a 2.0 Litre turbocharged four cylinder engine that makes 272 horsepower paired with a ten speed automatic transmission which powers the standard front wheel drive system of the car with an optional all wheel drive system. It can go from 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds which is much slower than it’s segment but it can obtain a top speed of 130 mph. But things are different with the Type S model which is powered by a 3.0 Litre turbocharged V6 engine which makes 355 horses and can go from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 155 mph. Both models give a good performance with their improved and tuned chassis, engaging and confident steering and great handling. Which would be the second most things that you’ll notice after its stunning looking design.
Fuel Economy | Mileage
The 2022 TLX with front wheel drive variant delivers a mileage of 22 mpg in the city and about 31 mpg on the highways with 1 mpg less on the all wheel drive models. And the Type S delivers a mileage of 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway which is fairly decent fuel economy if you’d compare with the competition.
Dimensions & Weight
The 2022 Acura TLX is 194.6 inches long, 75.2 inches wide and 56.4 inches tall and has a wheelbase of 113.0 inches and weighs around 1,781 kgs.
Price
The 2022 Acura TLX will come at a starting price of $45,000 and the new Type S variant will be featured with a starting price of $54,100. And if you’re a gearhead like us then we’d suggest you opt for the Type S model which will cater your needs for extra power and luxury and performance then the regular model and will still come at a price where the rivals wouldn’t even start their offerings.
