The 2022 BMW 3 Series lineup comes with some significant updates with new optional packages and some standard features and a plethora of options for individual models.
Engine, Top Speed, 0-60mph & Performance
The new 2022 BMW 3 Series comes with two powerful engine options, the base model with a 2.0 Litre turbocharged four cylinder engine which makes 255 horsepower and 295 lb ft of torque, and the top trim M Sport model comes with the 3.0 Litre turbocharged straight six engine which makes 385 horsepower and 369 lb ft of torque and a new plug-in hybrid model which also comes with a turbo four but makes 288 horsepower and 310 lb ft of torque with a 23 miles of electric only range.
All models provide a great and smooth experience with gliding over the roads now matter how they are, not to mention with a competitive and powerful performance with a 0-60 mph timing in just 3.8 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 156 mph. Especially the plug-in hybrid model which feels ferocious and has that extra boost which the base model lacks while the M Sport model makes it explore the whole other side of the 3 Series with more thrill and more power, more refinement and sharp handling and all in all the new 3 Series is playful to drive around.
Fuel Economy | Mileage
The new 2022 BMW 3 Series is good on the fuel economy figures with the base variant delivering a mileage of 26 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway and the more powerful M Sport trim deliver a mileage of 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway and the plug-in hybrid model delivering a mileage of a combined 28 mpg with an electric only range of 23 miles while it drops at almost 3 mpg on the all wheel drive models.
