For the 2022 lineup, the new BMW 8 Series comes with the M Sport package as standard on the base model which includes features like an aerodynamic body kit, multifunction seats and a dark exterior trim.
Engine, Top Speed, 0-60mph & Performance
The 2022 BMW 8 Series, both the coupe and the convertible, comes with two powertrain options. A 3.0 Litre turbocharged inline six cylinder engine which makes 335 hp and 331 lb ft of torque for the base 840i model and a 4.4 Litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes 523 hp and 563 lb ft of torque for the M850i model. Paired with an eight speed automatic transmission and rear or all wheel drive and can blast off from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph.

While the twin-turbo V8 model sucks the fuel like a champ with an estimated mileage of 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The turbo six model delivers much greater fuel economy figures with a mileage of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
