A 3.0 Litre turbocharged inline six cylinder engine which makes 335 hp and 331 lb ft of torque for the base 840i model and a 4.4 Litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes 523 hp and 563 lb ft of torque for the M850i model. Paired with an eight speed automatic transmission and rear or all wheel drive and can blast off from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph.
