BMW Celebrates 50 Years Of M History by supplying 500 M3s in five iconic colors from previous-gen models to The US market. 50 Years ago, BMW M was born and we all know what happened after that. Now offering special versions of the 2023 M3 and M4 for various markets around the world, being called Edition 50 Jahre BMW M.
What’s New?
Instead of standard BMW logos, you will get special BMW motorsport logos. With special interior branding with Edition 50 Jahre BMW M on the door sills, along with special plaques on the console identifying the model and production number. The classic performance colors of red, navy, and blue are smeared throughout the interior. The car sits on edition-exclusive forged wheels and a carbon-fiber front splitter. Each model also comes with a ton of standard M Performance parts, and there’s a special matching suitcase too.

Color Options
For the Europe region, buyers will have the M4 available in Carbon Black, Brands Hatch Grey, Imola Red, Macao Blue, and San Marino Blue. For China, the two-door is offered in Fire Orange and Stratus Grey, chosen because BMW M’s 50th anniversary happens to take place during China’s Year of the Tiger. And for the US the four-door M3 will come in five colors. The colors are from M3’s previous five generations, starting with Cinnabar Red from the original 3er, the E30. From the E36 we get Techno Violet, followed by Deep Interlagos Blue from the E46 M3. Fire Orange III comes from the Lime Rock Park Edition of the E92 M3, and Limerock Grey was featured on the F80.

BMW will be making only 500 exclusive units. The pricing of the BMW M3 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M starts at $96,695 with production to begin in July.
