Overview
Dallara Stradale is the Ultimate Italian Barchetta. Made from the Italian automaker Dallara, Stradale is the company’s first road-going vehicle. The company’s major works are on chassis making for other automakers as well as racing car design and production. Dallara has worked for both Ferruccio Lamborghini and Enzo Ferrari as well as Colin Chapman.

The Stradale shows a lot of significant resemblance to the Lotus 3-eleven. The Stradale is designed as a Barchetta with no doors, but with the addition of replaceable components, it can be transformed into a Berlinetta, roadster, or Targa top. The car is designed by an Italian design consultant business in Turin called Granstudio in 2015. The final builds were subjected to wind tunnel testing to study if the car’s aerodynamics were perfect. Loris Bicocchi, a former racer, worked on the chassis. The Stradale’s ideal dry weight is 1,885 lbs. The Stradale starts at $200,000, and extra features bump the price even more.

The vehicle converts to other body types via a retractable windshield composed of motorsport-grade polycarbonate glass and a carbon-fiber structure. The transition to Targa top and Berlinetta body is achieved by a T-shape movable frame and retractable gull-wing doors. The vehicle sports Pirelli Trofeo R tires and an active racing suspension system from Tractive Suspension lowering the vehicle’s height by 0.8 inches in track mode. The car’s interior components are mostly carbon fiber, and the steering wheel consists of all the vehicle’s controls. The seats have carbon-fiber shells along with foam cushions that are attached to the chassis.

Engine & Performance
For the performance, the Stradale is on par with high-performance sports vehicles, also driver-focused. The Stradale is powered by a 2.3L Ford EcoBoost inline-four motor. To produce 395 hp at and 500 Nm of torque, Bosch has revised the motor. The engine is coupled with a six-speed manual or an automatic manual gearbox with paddle shifters. Both the gearboxes include Quaife limited-slip differential. The top speed is 174mph and can go from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. The braking system, has steel brake discs are used. The discs are housed by Brembo brake calipers.
