El Chaval de la Bachata was born on 12 April 1978, in Juncalito Janico, Dominican Republic. He released his debut album as a teenager in 1993, namely Si Te Vas, and followed with another album, Amor de Mis Sueños… Ahora Si Mas Mambo in 1994. After taking a few years break, El Chaval returned with a series of mature albums, including Para Siempre (2000), Volvere (2002), Ayer y Hoy (2003), Ya Me Canse (2007), and more.
