Hyundai amps up its game in India with three brand-new SUVs that will soon hit the market this year. Each caters to distinct segments and driving aspirations. From the fiery Creta N Line igniting the passion for performance with a sporty makeover and a potential 160 PS turbo engine. Next, the Alcazar facelift with its design refresh from the latest Creta, will offer several upgrades over its previous model. Finally, the sophisticated Tucson facelift arrived later in the year, offering refined aesthetics and a new infotainment system. 1. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift:
By mid-2024, the new Hyundai Alcazar will receive a makeover. It draws inspiration from the latest Creta. The “Sensuous Sportiness” design language will translate into new front and rear sections with sleeker LED lighting systems, a bolder grille, and other aesthetic enhancements. While the powertrain options (2.0L petrol and 1.5L diesel) will remain unchanged, the interior might witness key upgrades, including Level 2 ADAS technology for advanced driver assistance.
2. Hyundai Tucson Facelift:
Last year, the global reveal of the refreshed Tucson showcased updated aesthetics and a revamped interior. This facelift is expected to grace Indian shores in the latter half of 2024 featuring similar design revisions. The exterior will likely boast sharper lines, a revised grille, and updated lighting elements. Inside, the new facelifted Tucson will feature a more modern ambience with potential enhancements to the infotainment system and connectivity features. The current 2.0L petrol and diesel engine options with either 6-speed or 8-speed automatic transmissions will continue without major changes.
3. Hyundai Creta N Line:
The Creta N Line has been spotted testing on the Indian roads. The new N-line Creta will sport undisguised upgrades hinting at an imminent launch. Anticipated for April 2024 launch, it promises a bolder look compared to the standard Creta with aggressive design cues echoing the sporty N Line philosophy. Inside, the new performance SUV will offer significant revisions for a more performance-oriented feel.
Under the hood, the N-line Creta will pack a 1.5L turbo petrol engine that churns out 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque with a punch. While Hyundai currently pairs this engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, the N Line might offer a 6-speed manual option for enhanced driver engagement. The SUV will also offer stiffer suspension and a sportier exhaust note will further amplify the performance character.
