Overview
The ferocious, Jaguar just announced for production of the limited-to-394 units of their heavy chunk F-Pace SVR with a special touch of Purple body and Golden Rims to commemorate winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988.
But you ask, why only 394? Well Jaguar says it’s building one for each lap completed by the winning car back in 1988. Now that takes our attention.

What’s New
Now the structure is of a regular F-Pace but this, since a limited edition, the wheels is all set in Purple and Gold, A Scheme you don’t see everyday but surely is a thing of beauty!
Along with the standard Black Pack, which includes gloss-black exterior trim on items such as the brake calipers and mirror caps, the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 has laser-etched logos on the front fenders.
Inside, gold accents abound, from the contrast stitching on the black leather upholstery to the trim on the steering wheel, dashboard vents, and slots in the front seatbacks. The steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters that control the SVR’s 8-speed automatic transmission also get the glossy gold treatment.
Engine, Power, Mileage, Performance
Having the Existing Powerhouse of 550-hp supercharged V-8 with 8-speed automatic transmission, Sharing the same power figures with the already-available F-Pace, just a limited edition, hence, makes it more worthy to own.
According to the EPA’s methodology, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR achieves fuel-economy ratings of 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. While respectable, these numbers are eclipsed by those of rivals such as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio (17/23 mpg) and the Mercedes-Benz GLC63 (16/22 mpg). Not being anyone to judge, but Jaguar Could really work on those numbers for the betterment.

- 1/4-Mile: 12.1 sec @ 116 mph
- 130 mph: 15.6 sec
- 150 mph: 24.1 sec
- Rolling Start, 5–60 mph: 4.2 sec
- Top Speed (mfr’s claim): 178 mph
- Braking, 70–0 mph: 162 ft
- Braking, 100–0 mph: 324 ft

Pricing
The 2023 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 88 is currently available to order (while supplies last, of course) and has a sticker price of $111,150. Though it is just not standing in the showroom to have, the Edition 88 will be on display at the 24 Hours of Le Mans between June 8 to 12 and then again at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 23 to 26.
