Overview
With powerful turbo engine and one descent cabin in the segment, the compact crossover Kia Sportage fails to excite in terms of exterior styling. Sportage provides pleasant handling and smooth ride quality. The turbo powertrain hasn’t as fuel efficient as some rivals such as Mazda CX-5 and Volkswagen Tiguan.
What’s new 2022?
The EX variant gets the panoramic sunroof while the SX Turbo and EX Technology package gets software updates for next 10 years. The Value Edition package replaces the LX variant which consists 18-inch wheels with passive entry and heated front seats for 2022.

Sportage offered some desirable features such as 8.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrity, in-built navigation and wireless charging pad.
It scored 5-star safety rating according to NHTSA. Lane departure warning with lane keep assist and forward collision warning with automated emergency braking is available as a standard while rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring system is offered as an optional.

The Kia Sportage is offered in two engine configurations such as 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine produces 181 HP. This power is enough for the normal buyers who wants a car to reach from point A to point B. But if you need extra punch then you should take a look on 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine which burns out 237 HP and 260 pound-feet of peak torque and mated to 6-speed automatic transmission. It available with standard front-wheel and optional all-wheel drivetrain. The turbo variant with all-wheel drivetrain accelerates 0 to 60 MPH in 7.4 seconds and have a est. top speed of around 140 mph.
