Simple Energy launched its second electric scooter, the Simple Dot One which starts at Rs 1.39 Lakh
Bengaluru-based EV startup, Simple Energy has officially launched the Simple Dot One marking its second offering in the electric vehicle segment. The introductory price of Rs. 99,999 was initially available exclusively for pre-booked Simple One customers in Bengaluru. It will see an increase of Rs. 40,000 effective January 1, 2024.

Price Update: The new Simple One electric scooter will start at an introductory price of Rs. 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) for pre-booked Simple One customers until December 15, 2023. The scooter will come at a starting price of Rs. 1,39,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) for Simple Dot One from January 1, 2024. Pre-bookings are open for all customers from January 27, 2024.
Platform and Variant: Simple Dot One shares its platform with Simple One and is available in a single variant.
Performance and Range:
Simple Dot One offers a range of 160 km in the IDC (Indian Driving Cycle). It claims to be the longest in the electric two-wheeler space. It can accelerate from zero to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds. The electric scooter comes equipped with a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor, producing a peak torque output of 72 Nm.
Design and Colors: Simple Energy has offered four paint schemes with the Dot One – Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. The automaker has specially designed tires to maximize on-road range. The tire size is 12 inches on both front and rear with 90-90 section tubeless tires.
Features and Connectivity: The electric scooter offers CBS (Combined Braking System) supporting disc brakes, a touchscreen instrument console with app connectivity, and an under-storage capacity of 35 litres.

Charging and Deliveries: The Bengaluru-based startup has offered a 750-watt charger with their electric scooter. Customer deliveries begin in Bengaluru, followed by other cities in a phased manner (official timeline pending).
Pre-booking Details: Pre-bookings open at Simple Energy’s official website with an initial token amount of Rs. 1,947.
