Tata Nexon Facelift Features

The Tata Nexon facelift promises a fresh and modern interior with notable updates. Its redesigned dashboard boasts slimmer AC vents, a touch-based HVAC control panel, and a spacious 10.25-inch touchscreen. The digital instrument cluster and a new two-spoke steering wheel enhance the driving experience. Interestingly, Tata has kept the rotary drive mode selector and the manual handbrake intact. The Nexon is all set to debut with striking design changes. Recent sightings with partial camouflage reveal a refreshed front featuring vertically positioned LED headlights, sharper LED DRLs with sequential turn indicators, and an enlarged grille. These design cues are reminiscent of the Tata Curvv, giving the Nexon a contemporary and attractive look. The Nexon EV will also showcase distinctive blue accents and closed-off panels to emphasize its all-electric identity. The cabin has received a makeover, featuring sleeker AC vents, a touch-input panel for climate controls, updated seat upholstery, and a new two-spoke steering wheel.

Engine and Performance

The Nexon facelift will offer a choice of powertrains, the reliable 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and the robust 1.5-litre diesel engine. For the petrol variant, customers can opt for one of four gearboxes, including a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, or a 6-speed AMT. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is expected to be available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT transmission options. Additionally, Tata might introduce its new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 125PS and 225Nm, which could potentially come with a DCT (dual clutch transmission) for added driving dynamics.

The launch of the Nexon facelift is slated for later this year, with a starting price of approximately Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2023 Nexon will continue to compete with popular models like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Brezza in the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment.
